Terms & Conditions

The SU 502 is a single channel controller for level detection of KROHNE limit switches with 8/16 mA output. The controller powers connected sensors and simultaneously processes their measuring signals. Via the integrated relay, simple control tasks can be solved. Typical applications are monitoring functions such as overfill or dry run protection. The SU 502 can also be used in hazardous areas and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). Optionally, an additional second relay can be ordered. Via a DIL switch the function of the second relay can be determined. It can be configured as fail safe relay or as second level relay.

Features & Options

  • Powers KROHNE OPTISWITCH limit switches with 2-wire electronics and simultaneously processes their measuring signals
  • DIL switch for flexible determination of second relay function
  • Clearly visible status indication via 3 LEDs
  • With a test key for test function
  • All electronic parts are fully potted
  • Easy DIN rail mounting (acc. to DIN EN  50022/60715)
  • SIL 2/3 certified

Typical applications

  • Level detection using OPTISWITCH vibration limit switches
